Montgomery, J.M. & Reckord. Langus riverfront park off road vehicle feasibility study. Report prepared for Everett, City of Everett, Parks and Recreation.

Abstract

Feasibility study of developing 12 acres of riverfront dredge tailings into an urban ORV park. Includes two surveys, one of ORV users and one of local residents. The surveys covered the usual demographics plus questions about a range of conventional park activities such as respondents' involvement in those types of activities, perceptions about compatibility of ORV with other activities, attitudes towards park fees, how far respondents would travel to visit, what requirements ORV users would tolerate (helmet/safety training requirements, fees, etc) to be allowed to use a muni-provided ORV park, and noise level measurements taken near the existing ORV use area.
