Abstract

Report describes the use of open area management for OHV land use. OAM is the strategy of designating and managing an area of land for OHV riding, as contrasted to designating trails. It describes the Turkey Bay Area which has given the TVA 18 years of open area management expertise. Turkey Bay is described as a successful OAM area. This is based on scientific study.
