Abstract

A survey of 116 ATV and trail bike riders residing in southwest Washington and northwest Oregon was conducted during summer of 1990 to determine recreation use patterns/preferences. Information is summarized, compared and contrasted with results of other Pacific Northwest rider studies. The potential of the Upper Wind River Winter Sports Area to provide preferred summertime motorized trail riding opportunities and experiences is assessed. Conclusions are presented and recommendations made.
