Abstract

AMA member survey of off-highway motorcycle users’ expenditures, frequency of travel, type of trip, distance, and destinations in California and Mexico. The survey distinguished between participants in organized events and “private” riders outside of organized events. The study concluded that restrictive land management actions in California was moving many OHM recreation activities—along with their economic benefits---to Mexico. The report was generated entirely by the AMA and standard survey methodology and statistical analysis were used.
