Environmental Impact - Wildlife/Vegetation Effects Deforge, J. R. (1972). Man's invasion into
bighorn habitat. Trans. Desert Bighorn Council. 16: 112-115. The bighorn sheep is an ice-age mammal that has become highly specialized,
evolving essentially outside the influence of man. Today, however, human
encroachment on sheep habitats and disturbance of populations result in
stress on bighorns, forcing them to adapt socially. Stress, frequently
human-induced, appears to be a major limiting factor in the bighorns struggle
for survival. Need information fast?
