Environmental Impact - Wildlife/Vegetation Effects Foresman, C.L., Ryerson, D.K., Walejko, R.N., Pendleton, J.W., &
Paulson,W.H. (1976). Effect of snowmobile
traffic on bluergass. Journal of Environ. Qual 5(2): 129-130. Abstract Result of staged snowmobile passes, compared with undisturbed plots. Early growth was slower but late summer yields were the same. No soil compaction was detected in the treated plots. The researchers concluded that snowmobiling would adversely affect only the plots intended for early harvest. Includes brief bibliography. Need information fast?
