Environmental Impact - Soil/water effects

Dickey, R. H., Bovey, L. V., & Babcock, S.G. A study of California desert soils subjected to recreational vehicle use for the bureau of land management. San Juan Capistrano, CA: 1-20.

Abstract

Ten desert sites were studied, using standard soil and engineering procedures. This study is very detailed and is sorted according to the geologic effects, soils engineering effects, and plant growth relationships in the disturbed and in the undisturbed areas. A baseline is provided in a detailed cataloguing of the naturally-occurring soil components and soil chemistry at each site. Note: the "Unified Soil Classification" form did not scan legibly but it comprises only one page of this report.
