Abstract

This report describes how the ORV area and monitoring systems have evolved during
17 years. The measurements in 1973-77, and 1989-90 are documented. Changes in
area conditions have been less drastic than many people had envisioned. Satisfaction
with area conditions and management is high. Advantages and costs of recreation
monitoring are discussed.
