Abstract

Two aspects of electro-mechanical trail counters are covered in this report: 1) Survey of FS units regarding trail traffic counters, asking what type of counters are in use, problem areas, maintenance, and cost considerations. 2) Eight different brands of counters were tested to determine the advantages/disadvantages of each, with recommendations for FS units considering a trail counter purchase.
