Environmental Impact - Environmental assessments (EIS etc.)

Kay, B. L., & Reisenauer, H. M. (1984). Report to department of Parks and Recreation on ecological monitoring and baseline studies for State vehicle recreation areas.

Abstract

Deals primarily with plant and soil studies. No animal information is included. Based on the studies reported, it- appears that there are no insurmountable soil or plant limitations to re-vegetation of the three named SVRA’s. Re-vegetation is available as a reclamation tool but has questionable value with the present vehicle activity. Covers: soil characterization; vegetation and mulch experiments; compaction/bulk density studies; and appendices.
