Environmental Impact - Environmental assessments (EIS etc.) McReynolds, H. E., & Radtke, R. E. (1978). The impact of the motorized human on the wildlife of forested lands. Paper presented at the Proceedings Wildlife and People, West Lafayette, IN. Abstract Effects of off-road vehicles on wildlife of forested lands are reviewed. Cases for and against the use of snowmobiles, motorcycles, and four-wheel drive vehicles in forests are presented. Few reliable data on off-road vehicle impacts on wildlife are available, but it is probable that indirect effects and unintentional harassment of wildlife have produced the greatest damage.
