Accessibility Measures

1. All images are defined in their alt tags.
2. All image maps/hotspots are defined in the alt tags
3. There is no javascript or other dynamic scripts like Flash. The language used is HTML and has been tested on multiple browsers using Internet Explorer, Netscape, and Firebox.
4. Most of the text is produced linearly with links described on the side bar using alt tags for image maps. Other links on the center of the page is marked with traditional underline format to distinguish it from other texts.
5. Although there are tables used in designing this page, the tables are used primarily for layout purposes and does not contain tabular results of any kind. Descriptive texts are contained within the cells of the tables for clarification.
6. Simple and straightforward language is used as text in each page.
7. The tables used in this webisite are used with absolute pixelated sizes instead of relative percent to avoid complex manipulation and use of fillers. However, to ensure accessibility, the site has been tested on multiple browsers so that the layout presented in the tables look consistent.
8. Where appropriate table descriptions are included.
9. Information is presented in text only linear format within cells of tables using the tables for layout purposes only.
10. Foreground color and text colors are used to form contrasts.
11. A site map is provided in linear textual form with textual hierarchies displayed and links are provided from the site map to individual pages.
12. Navigation tips for new users are also provided for new users and users who might benefit from step by step instructions.
13. pdf files open up in new windows so that closing the pdf files do not close access to the entire site.
14.The navigation and design of this website was created with html templates to maintain consistency among all pages of similar type.
15.All beginning paragraphs or sections have distinguising information to separate them from other parts of the page.
